Who is Anton?
Good public buildings do not happen by themselves. They are the result of people who, together, manage to translate complex questions into well-considered decisions.
As a project manager I help shape the collaboration between clients, users and design teams deliberately. I combine my background as an architect with more than twenty years of experience in design, development and project management. From that experience I developed Multidisciplinair Samenwerken (MDS, multidisciplinary collaboration), a practical approach that helps teams make better integrated decisions in complex projects.
My career began in architecture, where I worked on projects such as the Markthal in Rotterdam, Valley in Amsterdam and the Bałtyk Tower in Poznań. There I discovered that the quality of a building is determined not only by its design, but above all by the way disciplines, interests and users come together in design decisions.
That fascination took me from architecture to project management. Today I lead complex public accommodation projects, develop new ways of working for multidisciplinary collaboration, supervise graduation research at TU Delft, and earlier I developed Project Connect, a digital tool that helps project teams worldwide within Haskoning keep a grip on planning, hours and finances.
I do not believe that better projects come from more processes, but from better conversations, clear choices and shared ownership. That is why I design not only projects, but also the collaboration needed to realise them successfully.
Alongside my work I build apps that do one thing well. No account, no advertising, no superfluous features: a clear answer to a single question. The first is Glutencheck, which shows with one photo whether a product contains gluten.
